Zurab recommended this video to me, and it's the best thing he's ever done. In about a week of doing this I have improved alot.
If you have the patience for this kind of thing I recommend you give it a try.

This is the best thing you've ever posted. I've slightly forgiven you.

Out of these "type" of guitarist it has to be said that i prefer Gilbert, but i have been trying to improve as of late so i'll give these a whirl.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

I prefer Paul Gilbert aswell, but the fact that Petrucci can play 6 billion notes per second amazes me

John Petrucci is by far my favourite guitarist, he seems like a really good teacher aswell.

I watched part of the video and a lot of what he's doing is fairly basic, just played stupidly quickly. If you're watching a Petrucci video, I'd say you're already ready to tackle some more tricky stuff. I reckon I prefer Gilbert because he seems more like Van Halen-type guitarist but technically sounder. Incidentally, Total Guitar ripped the shit out of it when it came out.
