Just to kill a few myths, the cavern was a damp and dank fucking dump, it wasn't the venue that lies there today, it never sold booze, rats crawled across your feet while you played and any band that played there after the beatles had to fight to get paid as sharing the same stage as them should have been enough for you.

I had a Beatle viola bass, it was fucking crap. I bought it because Jeff Walker had one on the Carcass video and it looked cool / Liverpool heritage etc. When I told him this he laughed his head off and said he got it for free..... and told me they were shit.

Well, is was The Cavern first. And if they were gonna do such early days theyd need Stuart on it (and i wouldnt be complaining in the slightest because the money could just stack up that way). All the bad stuff they did in Hamburg, they were still lovely bois with their "ooh"ing rock n roll.

The Cavern was a rough place like. My auntie has told me how good it was though. Nice times inside, people fighting outside. I cant remember the names for the groups of people who used to fight now, but its like we have chavs today, there were groups of people that didnt like the way most of the bands dressed n such.

as for the real beatles,all thier songs piss me off.they are so whiney.they are also irritatingly catchy for the wrong reasons.i have to leave the living room whenever my mum plays them.the harmonica makes me want to smash things and hurt people.

the monkees believer song is the only good tune.mainly because it was featured in the John Woo film bullet in the head and it was made better by the chinese band who made an instrumnetal of it for the intro and then later its is played/sung by a yank band in a vietnamese bar during a shooting/hitman scene and their version is better and fits the scene perfectly.

other than that i hate the monkees just as much as the beatles.

this is a rare instance where no matter how many years down the line,i cant grow to like a band/change my opinion.
