Vio-Lence Blood and Dirt

Postby STD_Caps on Thu May 24, 2007 9:54 pm

I'd bought it ages ago but hadn't been in the mood for the dcumentary. It is fucking awesome! I could really feel the energy and the attitude. Fuck, it just kicked so much arse. How all DVDs should be made.

I am now on an official binge of vio-lence. :rockdevil: :rockdevil: :rockdevil: :rockdevil:

And while we're here I will just say again that Eternal Nightmare is FUCKING AMAZING. Oh, and in relation to Immortalicide's taunting over Forbidden: Did you ever see these guys live because if you did I might just end up hating you.

From the little that I have heard from this band, they are fucking amazing. I actually have the Eternal Nightmare album (at least I think its that one) on my PC at home (my real home), but I forgot to bring it up here. I'm just going to buy it when I have some money along with the Waste albums. I bloody love it all. I also saw a live video of Vio-Lence playing a song (no idea which one) that I think Jamie showed me (well, no one else would've really!), and I remember thinking it was superb. I need more of this band's music immediately. I love the singer's voice as well, it's just a voice of pure madness enjoyment.

Oh yeh I love them. I think this may be worth an internet piracy purge/buying it from an actual shop.

EN is an amazing album, all the tracks are bangers and the energy on that record really fucking gets you into it. The number of times I have been listening to that album on the bus/train or walking and almost jumping out of my seat or breaking into a run because the music is so heavy and exciting.

"Props to Jerry" for making the DVD, I still need to get my hands on it, pay day soon though...
The only feedback I have heard about that film is good, I cant wait to see it. Phil have you seen Vio-lence live?

Yeah - I saw them in Milwaukee in 2002. Fucking amazing live. Just amazing. I took a load of photos on a shitty camera that Blabbermouth had up for a while. I'll dig them out and post them on one of the free hosting places. I ended up sending a copy of one of them to Sean Killian's fiance for a live photo montage thing she did when they got married.
I'm also mentioned in the closing credits of the documentary.

By the way - there's an extra gig on the second DVD that's not mentioned on the box. Just move the cursor around until you're highlighting nothing and then select it. It's a gig from '87 or '88. Crappy quality but it's probably the earliest complete footage out there.
