Your Norwegian is better then mine, what does it say? He's been in jail for 16 years or so... that's quite a long time for 'self defence'. I wonder if he'll be allowed to make black metal music under the terms of his release?

Last I heard he said he doesn't want to do guitar music because guitars are not of white origin and therefor not his roots. But then again the guy changes what he says all the time. I wouldn't put it past him to to a regge album next.

I have been really into burzum for many years, and despite what stupid political views he has, its a free world. Reading some of those comments on blabberfuck, it strikes me just how stupid some people are. It seems that most of the posts are made by people who dont remember what happened in 91-93 and havent taken the time to read up on it (everyone should read "Lords of Chaos" by moynihan & soderlind). I mean, they go on about him being a racist etc, when they live in a country where rascism is still rife and they have an elitist opinion to the rest of the world!!!! jeez!!!

As for him being freed, i hope that he will continue burzum where he left off in 93, as the guitar stuff is some of the best music ever penned in the Black metal genre.

I couldn't agree more, the early Burzum material is just as influential as anything by Emperor, Enslaved or any other BM band from that era. Lords Of Chaos is a great work and i recommend it as a good starting point for anyone interested in genuine facts about the Norwegian black metal 'inner circle' as it were.

Politically he's a prick but he's written some fucking genius godhead black metal in his past, Filosofem and Hvis Lyset Tar Oss in particular.
