I couldn't be bothered to find the old film thread but what films are people looking forward to this year?
Mine personally is District 9, which is essentially a metaphor for apartheid but swapping black people with alien refugees. It's produced by Peter Jackson and directed by the guy who did the halo short film and was supposed to do the full thing...
Also Gary Oldman let slip at comic-con they are starting filming for the new batman next year as well!!!

By the way, District 9 looks fudging amazing. So far, the films of the year for me are The Wrestler and Watchmen. I wonder if these films will beat them? I think The Road is the film I'm looking forward to the most. Shutter Island looks awesome as well though. It's always worth getting excited about the new Scorcese film!

Inglorious Basterds - hopefully I'll be going to see it on Wednesday. I've seen some mixed reviews for it, but I've been a fan of QT since I was dick high so will probably love it even if it is shit.

The Last Samurai was Dances With Wolves in Japan, and that worked wonderfully. Can't wait!

Zombieland looks so silly and amazing. Be better if the zombies didn't run though.

I'm going to write a zombie film soon and you can be sure the following words will be used to describe their movement: stagger, lurch, stumble, shamble, shuffle etc. etc.
