Re: Let There Be Blood
Just gave this a listen and while obviously it's still the same songs it seems to have lost it's balls but I've never been much of a fan of andy sneap's production. Too much of it just sounds the same and dull.

Well seeing as forums are set up so us 'internet twats' can discuss what they want, discussion is inevitably going to lead to debate, often does if you communicate with people. Yeah we have the original but to me its not that we have the original being taken away from us, the problem for me is it feels like the album is being watered down, adding more groove or some shit like that, I hate to sound elitist but honestly, 'the kids', as I said, if they can't take the original, just like if they can't take the original versions of Sodom, Destruction etc then maybe they're listening to the wrong genre.
Since when did production have anything to do with the quality of music?
I'll take a well recorded and well mastered album over something similar that has shit production of equal musical quality every single time, regardless of age.
I actually prefer the original BBB but I can appreciate the new one.

It's good. I mean, a lot of it's weak by comparison, but STRIKE OF THE BEAST is fucking killer, and that's all I really needed.

Since when did I mention that I wanted 'shit' production? And in fact when did I mention ANYTHING about production in that post? Groove doesn't mean production.

You would have been correct if you specified that by 'Grunge' you actually meant 'Pearl Jam' and, to a lesser extent, 'Mother Love Bone'.

I'm a pretty fucking huge fan of BBB, but I still think Ten is better.

Love both albums actually. But i wouldnt rate Ten higher. Even Flow may actually be in my top 10 favourite songs though.
