Can any one recommend a free utility for speeding up Vista, mine has slowed down a lot these last few weeks. I think it needs a tune-up.
Thanks.

Re: Vista help
First try AVG and Ad-Adaware there might be a virus or malware clogging your pc.

Other then that give it a clean purge and buy windows 7 and reinstall it.

Re: Vista help
I wouldn't use the inbuilt defragger in Vista. I used O&O Ultimate defrag myself when i was on XP and it was really very good, also programs like Ccleaner will help tidy up your registry and temp files etc.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Most of this still applies to Vista. Basically defrag, clear out System Restore points, clean up any pointless crap that you don't need (random apps that came pre-installed with Windows would be a start). For Antivirus, I'd recommend Avast - it's free, and I've not had a problem with it in nearly 4 years. Been recommending it to people and never heard a bad thing back
Or: use Ubuntu
