GWAR

I've seen a couple of GWAR refences already in my... week or so here, and since they're my favourite band of all time, ever, I thought I'd make a thread about them and see what the general view of them is. I'm guessing there's gonna be lots of mixed opinions!

Funny as hell, they are a top band. Anyone who says otherwise is a well gay yo.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

I used to go to gigs a lot around 88-91 ( by alot i mean a couple of times a week at some points), and i remember gwar playing edwards in birmingham at that time, but it was in a week where i was already going to 2 gigs and cash was short, so i never went :wall: regretted it ever since. Next time i went to edwards tho, (about 2 weeks after the gwar show), there was still loads of fake blood on the ceiling

musically tho, they dont do a great deal for me, but really wish id seen em live

Ah man, around that time the shows were amazing, if it was in 91, you missed one hell of a show! (I wasn't there, I was only 4 at the time!)
I saw them in March for the first time and wish I hadn't got really drunk, then I could have actually remembered the whole show! I met them afterwards and there was a few of us there, they told us they were going to some bar and that we should go and they'd meet us there, my fucking "friend" somehow persuaded me not to go, fucking regretted that ever since!

As for the music, I have to agree it's not the best, but to me they are not just a band, they're like the whole entertainment package!

And in strange aeons even death may die

Missed out on seeing them a few times, looks like they put a right good show on at their gigs!

I like some of their songs as well although they'll never be one of my favourite bands
