I don't even know what to say, apart from the usual, asdfshldfjkahsdljslfjghsld etc and all that. Oh, and Russ North is literally the best singer in the entire world.

Re: METALBREW 2008: 26/7/08 - TICKETS ON SALE NOW
It was really good guys. It was my first MB and it was really cool. Nice to see the odd nipper running about in the beginning as well.
There wasn't a single set I didn't enjoy. Well done to the organisers and thanks to all the bands. My only gripe was that I left it too late to buy a MB XL tshirt Anyway MB's loss was Mutant's gain.
Thanks again.... and I'll be back for next year if you dare to put it on again. You've set the bar quite high

Re: METALBREW 2008: 26/7/08 - TICKETS ON SALE NOW
I am speechless, it was that incredible. Had a brilliant time and the Metalbrew Crew should be immensely proud!
So many sets I enjoyed: Dr Death (and Dian Wei appearance) were class; I loved Dark Forest's set including some new album tracks (Wizard of Alderley Edge is still my favourite); Damnas were definitely one of the tightest and most punishing bands of the day and Jon "bass beast" Kushner was having a blast; Mutant were outstanding and I know for a fact that they impressed several first-time witnesses - The Rauncher is one of Mutant's best tracks for sure, seriously it was awesome; Pagan Altar put on a godlike show, it was so atmospheric and memorable with the light fading and the Pagan Geezer raunching around on stage with his top hat (got a hilarious picture with him, which will be forthcoming), good selection of material, some favourites being Judgement of the Dead, Lords of Hypocrisy and Cry of the Banshee! Can the Brew Crew give any info on why the second guitarist was missing?
Also enjoyed a lot of the earlier bands like Ten Tonne Tabby - really heavy groovy stuff!
And also, holy jesus fuck mule. Cloven Hoof are one of the best bands ever! And yes, Russ North is LITERALLY one of the greatest metal vocalists of ALL TIME. Simply inhuman. Shame they couldn't play some more tracks, although we did get a nice encore. Lewis TORSO has some amazing footage of Astral Rider, I can't wait for that.
Amazing stage, amazing sound, outstanding line-up and bloody good turn out. Just the best.

Re: METALBREW 2008: 26/7/08 - TICKETS ON SALE NOW
Same as everyone else, absolutely massive congratulations to everyone who organised the day, it was easily one of the best gigs I've been to in my entire life. I enjoyed pretty much every single band's performance, the sound was pretty much spot-on, the atmosphere was excellent and the weather held out to make it an absolutely amazing experience.
Cloven Hoof - Russ North is just an absolute superhuman legend with a seemingly endless vocal range, a Lee Payne is God-like as a bassist, so much rawness and power and yet so melodic and energetic. The entire setlist was incredible, words just don't describe how amazing it was. A bit of a stage-invasion at the end completed what was a blinding day, even by Metalbrew standards. Notre Dame, Inquisitor, Kiss of Evil, Gates of Gehenna, it was all so, so brilliant.
Pagan Altar - While their style isn't particularly my thing, it's impossible not to like them live. They add a completely different edge to the normally mundane doom genre, and it was awesome of the vocalist to stay around for a few minutes at the front of the stage afterwards.
Mutant - What can I say? I had my face melted, my guts ripped out and my limbs mutilated by these guys, they really do deserve every single bit of credit that comes their way, the cream of the UK Thrash scene and utterly deserved. Looking forward to seeing them again pretty soon .
Damnas were another highlight, I take my hat off to the mighty Jon Kushner on bass, watching the sheer energy he put in was just incredible. Another high-point was the adventures of Billy (aka Dian Wei) on-stage with Doctor Death, the whole performance was hilarious.
All-in-all, a fucking brilliant day out, cheers to everyone I met - Steve, Jamie, Rik, Tom, Paul, Spencer, Faraz, Caps, Donny, Kate and of course cheers to Billy and especially Lewis for helping us out getting home. Photos will be on the way very soon .

I would also like to add that it was literally amazing. Such a achivement for Stu, Jamie and Jon. My highest calibre of respect go's to you. Bands were all very very bloody good. Dr Death being maniac as ever, i am not even going to go into the crap involving me as it was literally silly silly silly.
Damnas are a bloody storm up, such a brutal blend of riffs and donny's vocals, not to mention chickenhawk jon. Really one of the top bands in the scene right now.
Mutant were awesome, that rates as the best i have ever seen you guys. I mean i don't actually recall seeing you last year because i was in such a state, but that is apparently the first time i watched you guys. Loving the new tracks, loving the delivery, loving the barrel.
Then then then then there is Hoof, who i literally cannot believe are real. Russ North..... i have never heard anything that powerful in my entire life. So pitch perfect and powerful delivery.
Overall amazing, 13/10
