Does this mean Mutant are headlining?

Yes.
Whoever organised this is an absolute cunt. I don't care how cool the line-up is, it's fucking stupid to put this on the same day as FTA. I just divides everyone up. There's no doubt that most the people at one of these big events would go to the other. Just means both gigs get less support.

What?! How could they be so incompetent.
(slightly less shocking after Jamie's Pagan Altar clash though)

Are Savage Messiah announcing a change of direction by using a Kiss-style font?

Every band in the universe uses that font!

Yeah, it's a bit of a nightmare, I was going to go to Wakefield too! But then again, playing a gig is better than doing anything really so I don't mind now at all. It's just a real shame for all the boys and girls who want to do both. What a bloody nightmare!

Out of the dead of night they came...into the nightmare!

This is a real nightmare, indeed. i'm still not 100% sure how i feel about this, i think that FTA was really special last year and i tried to explain to the guy organising Wastestock saying "change the date homes" but nay. to be honest he seemed a bit mad. he originally said SSS and Gama Bomb were going to play... even though Gama Bomb had already confirmed FTA ages ago, his response was "they'll play 2 shows on the same day man!!!""£jh23jk12¬" to which i thought.... no they most likely wont, considering the logistics of it all. i then spoke to SSS who said they had never even heard of this event, let alone confirmed to play. Basically its all a bit mad and i'm still in 2 minds, especially becaus ei know Dave and Luci put so much into FTA.
i don't know how many southerners would have ventured up to Wakefield this year, but i hope that people go and support FTA if they can and have this as a fall back option for those unable to travel up t'north.

Damn, I had no idea that this was on the same day as FTA, that kind of sucks. To be honest though, pretty much all the bands are London based so I expect that lots of London ragers will be making it to this one who would not have been going to FTA anyway. Especially as there some deathy scene bands playing too. I bet FTA will be packed anyway, its an amazing festival with a fucking excellent line-up. I wish Wastestock was on another day though.

Wow, I didn't realise this was on the same date as FTA until now either, but to be fair I don't think it is that much of a clash since both gigs are in different parts of the country.
