I did it. It was fucking hard. After the first 3-4 days i was alright, I take a 2-3 week break every couple of months.

I hope it wont be hard. The only problem will be other people. I shall not succumb to my peers!

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

New Year's Resolutions are completely pointless and bound not to be kept. If you don't have the will power to start something at any point of the year, as opposed to the 1st of January, you probably won't achieve it.

thats a point that also think to be true...However I think a new years resolution holds more merit to be kept with many people rather than just doing something at any other time of the year.

I'm considering not drinking or smoking throughout January. I just wanna see if I can really. And I suppose it's the whole detox thing. I don't think it'd be too hard to do, but if it is then maybe that's telling me something. Shall I give it a go? Might as well, it'll definitely save me loads of money.

I find 'detoxes' ridiculous. What's the point of pretending to be healthy for a month and then just fucking yourself up completely again? It's like me saying I'm not going to eat any burgers for a week and then eating one every day the next week to make up for it. Either cut down for good, stop completely, or carry on as normal. But don't lie to yourself about it either.

I'm the same. I always think it's a bit pointless stopping something for a while only to go back to it. From my point of view though, doing this for a month will let me see a) if I can do it for a month (if I can't then it'll be a bit worrying) and b) if I feel any better for doing so, leading to me perhaps making some life choices.

That's my reasoning.

I've done the detox thing for the last two january's,although for me it's only staying off the drink as I don't smoke anyway. You do come out of it feeling better, and it does give your body plenty of time to recover after the excesses of christmas.Saves a load of money as well!
Needless to say, this will be the third time I'll be doing it.

My new years resolution is to convince my girlfriend to let me bum her...
Nah it's not really.

I need to pull my finger out in college and finish my course so that I'm not stuck in the same shitty job for the rest of my life.

Been upping my exercise in the past couple of months e.g. a mile run every night followed by 100 situps and 100 reps on the arms, but gonna get back into a full regime for the new year.

Just need to get myself into a routine and I'm sorted, saying that though there isn't anything I need to stop doing as I've never smoked/had a drag off anything.
