METALBREW 2008: 26/7/08

Postby jonny_boy34 on Wed Apr 23, 2008 5:46 pm

I am more excited than your mum right now. Oh lovely, Clayman just came on, I haven't heard that song in ages. Nice.

Right, here's the almost full line-up for Metalbrew this year, to be held on Saturday 26th July at Mill Hill Rugby Club. We are still waiting to hear back from certain bands that we want to headline, so here is a very big taster of what is to come this year:

OPETH
IRON MAIDEN
JUDAS PRIEST
SAXON
JEKAZOL
BLAZE BAYLEY
JAMIE 'AVIN' 'IZ FUN!

Ha ha, not really, that was a joke line-up. Here is the real one:

Doors: 12pm

EXPERIENCE MATTOCKS: 1pm – 1.15pm
THE BLUESMITHS BAND: 1.30pm – 2.00pm
TEN TON TABBY: 2.15pm – 2.45pm
XIPHON: 3pm – 3.30pm
DOCTOR DEATH: 3.45pm – 4.15pm
AFAKTOR: 4.30pm – 5pm
DEAD EXISTENCE: 5.15pm – 5.45pm
DAMNAS: 6pm – 6.30pm
DARK FOREST: 6.45pm – 7.15pm
MUTANT: 7.30pm – 8pm
PAGAN ALTAR: 8.30pm – 9.30pm
CLOVEN HOOF: 10pm – 11pm

All the bands have links on the top friends of our MySpace is you want to listen to any of them. Afaktor, who Jamie and myself had a brief stint in last year when they were preparing for their concept album based on Nostradamus (yes, I'm telling the absolute truth, and hilariously their title track is much better than Priest's), are of notable significance. They are amazing and have been one of the best bands of Mill Hill for a long time, they played the festival in 2005 and Fil the little Portugese front-man (who's basically the best man any of you will ever meet apart from me) smashed his guitar like a real rock 'n' roll man and it was brilliant. He was the sound man last year, so some people might recognise him. Anyway, lovely jubbly and all that, this is very pleasing so far as Mutant have also just confirmed as Special Big Boys this year.

I bloody love it, this is going to be bloody amazing.

Here is the myspace: http://www.myspace.com/metalbrew

Cheers thanks bye.

I love Opeth.

Most excellent about time we had some news about the brew!
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

We wanted them last year, but... well, you could say they were demanding, I suppose. You should've seen the bloody rider, let alone the fee...

Funnily enough, 'a platter of fresh fruit' was indeed one of their many requests.

I know, you bastard. I hate you. We all hate you forever. Imagine how much better that line-up would've been with Battlewitch at the top. Much better, that's what. You've ruined our festival.

Nah, how could I possibly hate wonderful Mazz. I still want you to marry me.

At the top! ha ha ha. You are insane.

Our new bass player does death grunts DOOMs for "Doom or Die". That is also insane.

I'm looking forward to metal brew like a child waiting for Satan Claws to bring him a death ray!

One thing though, do not, I repeat, do not watch Jamie having his fun. Last year it was horrible, all it was was him on stage, naked and covered in feces, dancing to horrible German techno and throwing pigs blood into the audience, the police were called and some young people had to go into therapy. He raped everyone too.
