"Scathing, blasting, screaming bloody mutilating grindcore… Relentlessly intense gore-ripping oldschool thrashing, dooming, sludging, fast/slow grindcore… Yelling and guttural pus-bursting and speed-riffing. I like it! Extreme metal, no messing… Recommended proper oldschool extreme metal!"
- ORGAN - 'Demo Of The Week'

"They are one of the best grind/doom bands out there in the underground circuit. If you like your metal heavy, and face breakingly hard then I recommend you check out The Atrocity Exhibit!"
- THE METAL UNDERGROUND - Voted third best unsigned band of 2007!

THE ATROCITY EXHIBIT are a grindcore/doom band from the UK Midlands, playing fast, slow, and sometimes both. We share two members with Birmingham sludge monsters OUT FOR BLOOD.

Self-titled 6 track EP available now
£4 plus postage (50p UK, £1.50 overseas) Order from BigCartel

Glen Pywell from UK death stalwarts GUTWORM plays bass on the recording if that makes you any more interested! :D

Go to our myspace to hear sample track 'Those Who Dare Oppose Us...'

We were recently voted third in The Metal Underground's UK Unsigned Bands of 2007, and we've got an exclusive song hosted on their MySpace profile named 'Mausoleum Choir' - http://www.myspace.com/themetalunderground

We're going to get some shirts made up very soon (week or two...) in preparation for all our gigs in February.

Here's a possible design, what's everyone reckon? Would anyone be interested in one?

This man speaks the truth ;)

and I definitely think some sort of TAE/HOD gig would be a good idea. We'd go together like Jack Daniels in a glove, but I'd enjoy it at least.

Haha, well we've been going since 2005! But I was a bit miffed when I saw their album title... hah

One of my new riffs rips off Exodus a bit though, so I think we're even. :D

Didn't Joy Division think of the title first?

I know the fifth dark angel album was going to be called " the atrocity exhibition" and some of the tracks were demoed by gene hoglan in 92, but they were never finished, in fact they were never finished as far as the writing stage. So as far as metal goes, i spose DFA take the honours!

Nah, the Joy Division song is named after the book 'Atrocity Exhibition' by JG Ballard, which is pretty nuts:

Our also name comes from that book...

Haha, we've managed to cover a lot of UK venues in those things... I don't think I've ever been to the Rocket though so I don't know who put that one up!
