Streetfighter was what got me into anime in the first place (and was the first time I heard metal, Korn was on the credits). Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scroll is cool. Two of my favourites that haven't been mentioned yet: Spirited Away, and the ever awesome Dead Leaves. The latter's only about 40 minutes long but it kicks ass
I'm going to
Tear your fuckin' eyes out,
Rip your fuckin' flesh off,
Beat you 'till you're just a fucking lifeless carcass,
Fuck you and your progress,
Watch me fucking regress,
You were made to take the fall,
Now you're nothing!!

Please tell me you are not one of them!

Err Akira is good, preferred the comics though.

Not really a massive massive fan of anime though. Watched a lot of it when i was younger, but it just became about being pervy and fucking stupid story lines.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

im not a demon womb or an overfiend so no need to worry :D
if you mean a manga fan then im afraid so as they rock and push the boundaries of imagination on the horror/sci-fi side of things.they also go one step further with the bad taste side of things and get away with it.
also the akira production report shows they are more than just mindless cartoons.they are epic, cinematic animated masterpieces, which took a lot of work to produce.
so yeah im one of those

I'm not a massive manga head, but I do like:

Fist of the North Star - Original series, the 3 re-makes and the new full length films.
Street Fighter
Akira
Legend of the 4 Kings
Violence Jack

Some of the manga stuff is a complete joke though, like the ones with the tentacle rape and what not.
