Wanted - Cambridgeshire Metal
I am currently buying a house in rural Cambridgeshire, halfway between Cambridge and Peterborough, so if there are any Cambs bangers out there who can recommend good pubs, gigs, venues, record shops etc in the area, I'd appreciate it. I realise it's a quiet area and there are more tractors than headbangers, but I live in hope. No trendy emo/myspace metal please, just good stuff. Ta!

So, if Cambridge is the Arse End and Peterbrough is Nowhere.
You literally have just bought a house in the middle of Arse End and Nowhere.
Saying that, how far you from Colchester? They have The Twist as a Venue? I have noooo idea, lets be honest.

I know P'boro has a venue called the Park (or something similar) that gets the bigger bands in every now and then.

Cambridge gets the odd band at the Junction but i don't know of any metal clubs or pubs....though the market up there can be really good for getting records and cheaply
Colchester though is about an hour and a halfs drive from Cambridge, its where i go to uni and there has been some awesome bands play there. Napalm Death played the Twist and the arts centre (a converted Church) gets big bands too, Cannibal Corpse are playing in October.
