I was thinking the other day...where have all the side characters gone? - I know Chef quit, and they brought Big Gay Al back for that Mr Slave/Mrs Garrison episode...but...where's all the other chaps. You never see Officer Barbrady or the Mayor or Satan or Jesus or Halfy or the 1989 Denver Broncos.

Yeah, that's a good question. They killed off the crazy lady bus driver (can't remember her name) in the episode where Cartman becomes a psychic ("DO YOU SEE?!"), but I don't know what happened to everyone else. Jesus was in a couple of episodes in series 11, but Satan should definitely come back!

Mrs Crabtree.
Yeah, Satan is the best character, due to the amazing singing.

That's why that High School Musical one was so good - two top notch side characters - Scott Malkinson and slappy gay dad.

I don't know how old this one is, but I just saw it for the first time tonight, the episode, "Proper Condom Use".
They start wanking dogs off for their 'milk'.
That... was fucking funny!

Let's hope it's not crap. It probably will be, but still.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it, but in my heart I know this is probably the case. But there's always hope. The good thing is with South Park though, that even when it's crap it's still quite enjoyable to watch. Which is nice.

I just think the last few seasons have seemed rushed which is ridiculous considering that South Park do about 12 episodes a year. Yes, they can do an episode in a week but, if they do, it's probably going to be crap. Mind you, Seasons 10 and 11 did have some cracking episodes, e.g. Make Love, Not Warcraft, Hell On Earth 2006 (origin of the Martinism, 'GAWWWWD!'), Night of the Living Homeless and Guitar Queer-o. A handful of good episodes across three seasons isn't really good enough when compared to Seasons 3-8 which had few, if any, poor episodes.

Re: New South Park
Indeed, I do agree with you there. I actually thought Imaginationland was one of the best things they've done since series 8, but nothing else really in the last two seasons compared to it, although there were still a good few funny moments across the seasons. I do wish they'd spend more time on the whole series before they release it, rather than just doing every episode in the week before it's due. It does indeed seem rushed sometimes because of this. Not all the time, but definitely sometimes.
