Re: FUTURAMA
Family Guys main flaw is repetition.

Re: FUTURAMA
Hmmmm it sort of is. They do repeat some stuff quite often but only for comical value. Like when Stewie asks Brian about his novel. I still love Family Guy. Id rate cartoons like.
1 - Futurama
2 - Family Guy
3 - The Simpsons
Not a great fan of American Dad.

American Dad is clearly the best out of all that you mentioned.

Re: FUTURAMA
Due to not having Sky or anything I've never been able to give Futurama a proper chance, although I'm sure it's really good.
My top three out of the 'typical' big three:
1. Simpsons
2. South Park
3. Family Guy

I can't decide between Futurama and Simpsons. They're equally funny, and not funny.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Re: FUTURAMA
1. Futurama/South Park - Futurama edges South Park on consistency grounds.
2. The Simpsons - had the Simpsons stopped ten years ago, it would be a complete faux pas to even think of comparing it to anything else.
3. American Dad - allegedly it lacks originality, but they have developed the characters of Roger, Stan and, arguably, Francine really well.
4. King of the Hill - I don't actually watch it that much, but I find it far more enjoyable to watch than Family Guy.
5. Family Guy - I liked Seasons 1-3. I can still watch the odd episode from that era but watched most of them to death. I gave up even downloading the episodes after the ones with James Woods and Tom Brady because, frankly, they were just awful. Family Guy really went downhill during Season 4, so much so that I found watching it to be akin to watching Friends, the Office, or Anchorman for a second time.

To be fair, you rate Family Guy above both Futurama and the Simpsons. The fact that you like Bottom does little to salvage your opinion from the depths of shite on this one.

Re: FUTURAMA
Reason being, when Family Guy is unfunny it's either because it's been done before, or its not my thing (and I can see why others may find it funny) but when The Simpsons is unfunny, it's just absolutely dreadful.

Re: FUTURAMA
I don't find it unfunny because it's "not my thing", I find it unfunny (when I do) because it's formulaic and tiresome.

Re: FUTURAMA
I find it amazing that The Simpsons can have so many characters, yet only manage to make three or so funny.

When the Simpsons is unfunny, it's because it's been done before. When Family Guy is unfunny, it's because it's written by people who have no sense of humour. The Simpsons was untouchable circa '92-'95. Whilst this doesn't mean it should be highly-rated automatically, it does put it above Family Guy as both Futurama and South Park were clearly funnier than Family Guy when it was at its peak.
