Re: Lost
I know the answer to one mystery of the show. The four toed statue, and the other statue they see from behind which is the same one. It's Tawaret, the Egyptian hippo goddess of fertility and pregnancy.

That's the only good one I know, and to be fair, it makes perfect sense. Egyptians did it.

Re: Lost
The Egyptians didn't know what they were doing. They were too clever to know that what they were doing was really, really difficult. They invented long division, for example.
But yes, the fertility thing makes sense. I just want to know why they use the names of famous Political Philosophers so often:
Jeremy Bentham
Edmund Burke
David Hume
John Locke
Rousseau
There are more I can't remember.
I think Lost is going way too fast at the moment, as in it's moving about four times as fast as the first two seasons did and it's way more interesting now than it was then.

Re: Lost
Yeah, I think this series and the next are to be 18 episodes long. It finishes next year. I watch all the episodes before a new season comes out so I can remember as much as possible. Sawyer's hair grows about 10 inches in the first 100 days on the island.

Yeah, remember Richard had long hair for a brief spell too? I think it's safe to say we'll see the smoke monster wearing a toupee by the end of this season.

I think Richard is Anubis, and the smoke monster is like a pet of him, that does part of his work for him which is judging people.

I'm interested now...
Danielle was in it from, like, episode 10 or 12. I don't think she was actually insane, to be honest. I think it was a mistake to kill her off. Saying that, there are probably only about four characters who have maintained their importance to the show throughout the five seasons thus far. So, so many people killed off or played down.
What are you on about, are there insane frogs or not?

Yeah, I stopped at the just after he mentioned the 4 toed statue. I'm keeping out of this thread now! lol.
Now, I just need to work out how charlie managed to be desmond's son...
EDIT: in the last episode when Ben went to kill penny, their kid ran out and Penny called him Charlie and he was blonde and Des is Scottish and so was Charlie. Just in case anyone missed that

Re: Lost
Charlie wasn't Scottish. His dad was, though.
'YOU'RE SWIMMING, CHARLIE!'
I think it's safe to say that Des and Penny's child Charlie was named after hobbit Charlie.

No, there's one insane frog. She was killed by nasty people with some kind of super-powerful peashooter.
