The UK Thrash Gig Calendar

Postby Craig on Fri Sep 15, 2006 12:18 pm

I am pleased to announce that due to popular demand we now have a Gig Calendar

A couple of points on how to use it:
  • Only post your gigs in this forum. Any calendar events listed elsewhere will be deleted on-sight
[me gets down off of soap box]
  • To add your gig to the calendar, all you have to do is create a new topic on this forum, and fill in the "Event time" and "During" fields. You can add a detailed message as normal in the body of the post.
  • To view events that are listed on the calendar, just click on the "Calendar" icon on the top menu (next to "FAQ"). You can get a quick overview of events planned in the next week by clicking on the smaller Calendar link over on the right with the downwards arrow.
I guess that's it really :) If you've got any questions, post here, PM or email me (or James).

Enjoy!
Craig

Any chance you can make all the shortcut icons at the top go into 2 rows?

With the Calendar icon added it makes the screen too wide for my computer's crappy resolution :eyes:

Any chance of either of the mods to be able to post other gigs (ie- not just UK Thrash band gigs) and tour dates sort of like a full-on calendar/ archive of metal tour dates?

The shortcuts have now been made into 2 rows :)

Basically, anybody can add dates to the calendar (as long as they're posted in this forum).

Bands don't have to be registered with UK Thrash (as a band) to be able to post. Any registered forum user can post a calendar event :)

So youre saying that if the gig is advertised anywhere else you will remove the listing? I dont get it, surely everyone wants their gigs to be advertised to as many people who might be interested in coming as possible?

Everyone reads the 'Gigs' section as much as the 'All Music' section and others. We don't need the same gig advertised in every forum. One is enough.
