Yeah I was a little dumbfounded by Lightning War to be honest. I never cared much for the song in the first place (SY IS SUPERIOR) but Verm changed it to suit hisstyle and some people don't seem to like it. Then again, I did request that people try to put their own twists onto it, Acral Necrosis' rendition of Metal Forces is an absolutely brilliant example.

I spoke to Verm awhile ago and he mentioned that hes considering re-recording the vocals to Lightning War. Thats up to him, I don't mind - but it might please a lot more ISOS fans. Saying that, I didn't organise this with a mindset to make everyone on earth happy. People are going to hate some renditions, some will hate all of them, others will love some of the stuff up. Thats just how it goes.

Still, it sucked you couldn't pariticpate Ol/Joe. Would've been awesome to hear Evile to Shellshock and Gama Bomb do Welcome to Dying or something :)

EDIT: Whiplash's songs now up on the web page.

So now all I'm waiting for is for Exumer to give me confirmation on Burn, then everything else should be pretty piss easy.

Got Kemakil's renditions of Thermonuclear Devastation and Flame of the Antichrist back now. Should be up on the player within the hour.

Bump!

Got Warmaster's songs back today, and I've gotta say that when I asked the bands to put their own twist to it these lads really went for it. They're probably the best example showcased so far, so the chads lads and you boys in H.O.D have got a lot of competition!

I'm going to upload one of the songs later, probably Destroyer of the Worlds.

Was that not something to do with it being near impossible with a drum machine or something?

You can replicate anything with a drum machine. Its mostly the vocals that people find offputting, the offbeat drums only really came to my attention because Ol mentioned it.

Another bump!

Seeing as its Christmassy time (or just was), I'm feeling slightly generous - so here is the download link for Warmaster's rendition of 'Fight With the Beast'. Be sure to give me some feedback and tell me what you reckon.

I forewarn you - its very death metally!

Ahhh, just got this from Mr. Mem Von Stein (yes, the Exumer frontman);

"Dave, bro...I must tell you that our schedule is super mad tight and that we probably not be able to record the song for you guys...I am so sorry but we will fly to L.A. right after KIT and headline a thrash fest on May 1st. I think we would be too rushed to do the song any justice. We also need to record our demo, so it's just not realistic...please understand...best...Mem"

This is rather gutting, but that does mean that Burn is available. Anyone on here wanna take that up? How about the Chads Lads, you lots up for doing two songs or wut?

Alright no problem, just enquiring :)

Sucks that Exumer had to pull out but sometimes shit happens. Best of luck to Mem and his lads with the future and all that, now someone record Burn so I can have a fucking vacation haha!

Hahaha. Search far! I think a death metal band could do a good version of Burn!

You know, thats exactly what I was thinking. Warmaster's version of 'Destroyer of the Worlds' was incredible soI think its only smart to have a similar band do Burn. Which in my opinion, is one of Onslaught's best songs.
