Not sure actually, Jamie did the sound for the first day, he'll know about all the fun. It's a shame, because the promoter is a very cool dude and it was well organised, and all the bands were pretty cool and very nice people, it was just missing one fairly crucial element... an audience.

I know that feeling. The amount of ace bands I've seen when no one has turned up! It's a real shame, but to be fair they could do a little more to get people down anyway. What with myspazz and arsebook, and night with 3 bands sould really have an audience of like 15 minimum, just from the bands telling mates/fans.

On the Maiden-based theme, I saw Blaze Bailey last Tuesday at my local. In fact, my mate's band supported them, and I'm their engineer, so technically I've worked with Blaze Bailey... Even though I had fuck all to do with his part of the show :p Fucking good show it was though!

Also, I love the epic zoom on Bruce's face in that video, funny shit :D Methinks the cameraman was bored...
I'm going to
Tear your fuckin' eyes out,
Rip your fuckin' flesh off,
Beat you 'till you're just a fucking lifeless carcass,
Fuck you and your progress,
Watch me fucking regress,
You were made to take the fall,
Now you're nothing!!

Haha, the same thing basically happened to me over easter! It was that 2-day fest in a pub called the Bedford Park in Streatham, Blaze headlined one of the days. I did the sound engineering for some of the bands (including Seregon on the 2nd day), but most of the time I just spent 'helping out' (ie. standing there next to the other engineer doing nothing). When Blaze played I pretty much just let the other engineer do all the work (which didn't involve much work at all anyway) while I rock out next to him, almost right behind Blaze. It was bloody hilarious. Great fun though! He really is a good old passionate chap, Blaze is.

Hahaha, yeah I'm pretty good at that too! :D He puts on a fucking ace show! He won't seem to look at cameras though, which is a bit wierd. I'd upload the picture of me and him but the dingus that took it had his finger halfway over the fuckin lens. His bass player is a fuckin legend as well man, good times :rockdevil:

Yeah, and the drummer as well is such a nice great chap! He saw me doing the air drums during the beginning of Stare At The Sun (to which Blaze did a hilarious introduction about grandmothers telling us not to stare at the sun) and made a hilarious face and it was great.

This leads me on to tell you about the ridiculous experience I had today! Good lord, this weekend has been unbelievable. I was doing the sound at Bar Monsta today, the 2nd day of a 2 day fest called 'Bullet Fest'. I was talking to the promoter at the beginning of the day, and he suddenly mentioned that bloody Bruce Dickinson's son was playing tonight! I went mad and excitedly told him that I was sitting behind him yesterday on his dad's plane and I couldn't believe the coincidence. Anyway, Austin arrive a few minutes after that, saw me wearing my Chemical Wedding t-shirt I got from the plane and pointed it out and said 'lovely boys!' or something along those lines, so I went over and started chatting to him and we couldn't believe the madness. I definitely couldn't believe the madness, and bloody hell! He's a very nice chap indeed, his band were really good too - musically not quite what i'd usually listen to, but they played really well, and Austin really does have the energy of his dad! Really good voice too. I gave him my card at the end after a nice chat and said "If you ever need a sound engineer..." It was ridiculous, it felt like I was asking someone out, that nervous but excited feeling of madness... I couldn't believe it.

What a thoroughly ridiculous weekend!

Oh and the Chemical Wedding film's about a man who becomes the reincarnation of Aleister Crowley or something - it's very confusing and very sick. Strangely enjoyable though.

Only Austin doesnt maiden.. or slayer....... but hes really cool and he has a great stage presence.
Its kinda crap to be him cuz as soon as he enters a room everyone starts talking about him being bruce dickinons son.
His band is playing download hah
