Turns out Joe broke his nose last year at Testament. He's starting to make a habit of beating the crap out of everyone, without meaning to.

That was Jamie, he did the sound for the whole night, and he's been doing ours and Gama Bomb's sound for the tour. He's done a bloody amazing job indeed! The wanker.

This gig was well good! Much fun was had by me. Paul's voice is wicked and there is definitely a real mix of metal styles in Deceptor. Kursk (I thought it was called Cask - forgivable after it was being described as a song about being trapped in a tube or something) was cracking but Pain Amplifier and Witch Belter were probably the highlights for their intense work out and familiarity. Great to see them again, it has been ages.

Mutant were really back on to the finest of forms. I agree with Rik, their last couple of London shows have not been quite as nuclear-powerful as their most raging sets but this was an absolute super-shit-storm of power and no mistake. Heavy AND Fast. Nothing more needs to be said. Super Computer is now as classic as all their other songs and Satellite has a slightly different feel - maybe even more epic-ness, I can't quite put my finger on it. Anyway, I thought I'd stopped being much of a pitter and Mutant pulled me back. Great fun.

Gama Bomb were glorious. Although there were a few obstacles - guitars not getting loud enough (or something), vocals being ravaged by bastard illnesses, etc, etc - Gama Bomb did what they do: they took everything in their stride and played a storming, violent, crowd-pleasing and a just-so-damn-entertaining set that everyone was getting their grin on. The wall of death on Mussolini Mosh was wild, chaotic fun and Slam Anthem was extremely raucous as well. I enjoyed the latter's intro too though I was surprised to see a few hands go up for Tory votes... sigh. Anyway, Gama Bomb played a real mix from their catalogue to the earlier days up to the now and, as has already been commented, most the crowd appeared to be completely versed in the GB discography. A total bloody success. I definitely vote Gama Bomb. One question was 'Metal Visor' ever called 'Atomiser' because I'm pretty sure that's what I was singing? I don't know...

Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

OK guys, I've uploaded all of the Deceptor set except for the first track, a couple of mutant and Gama Bombs. Check them out here: http://www.youtube.com/newmetalarmy

It was pretty tough to find Gama Bomb songs that weren't fucked because of philly's voice being ravaged by aids :(

Enjoy

Fantastic.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Nice to be able to see all the bands again while sober, to make sure they were actually good. Answer is yes, now that I actually know what Kursk sounds like it is very fucking good indeed. Get a move on with the album or EP or whatever!
