Death metal/Grindcore

I've just been scouring around shitty MySpace for ages trying to find good UK Grindcore/Death Metal bands... After sifting through piles of emo shit that just shouldn't be categorized anywhere near the sections I was searching in, I found these fuckers:

GB, if you want proper grind, then look no further than Narcosis from wigan. They are just fookin awesome, and are one of the very best live bands around!!!

Wow that's cool! I actually saw their profile while I was searching for stuff, but I didn't bother clicking it!

I hate all these new grindcore bands that think they're grindcore, just because they scream and have pounding blast beats. Twats!
Alot of the bands I clicked on were categorizing themselves as grind bands, but they had emo singing and stuff. Fucking gay, that's what it is!!!!

I'll have to see if I can get to one of Narcosis's gigs though, that's heavy shti!

I was involved with Narcosis since the beggining and actually released tracks by them on comp tapes i did back in 96 and 97!!
They are really great guys too, and i honstly meant what i said when i said they are one of the best live bands around. They play very technical stuff for grind, and they play it FAST!!!!! yet they are tighter than gary glitters last girlfriend. AWESOME BAND!!!!

They are playing blastonbury in june (i think) along with 29 other grind bands (see posting elsewhere on this forum, in gigs i presume)

Desecration are pretty cool, unfortuantly not much decent death metal down in devon, mainly wanky metalcore.... it's all the same die you e*o cunts.... hehe

As for bands in the Devon area, there's a band called Schiztome and another called Unforgiven that are both pretty good.

Check out the first four bands on the Reanimator myspace top 8 section - Bonesaw, Ingested, Insidious and Machiavellian. We're putting them on at the end of April, and obviously we wouldn't put them on if we thought they were shit!

Narcosis are well top of their game, totally mental!
There's a lot of bands of this genre in the UK at the moment but sadly a lot of them are mediocre. I think the best established DM bands in England right now are Desecration and Diamanthian, but if you like brutal death metal check out Sarpanitum - they're amazing. If you like a more gore-y sound Bristols Amputated are a good bet too!

Like Charlotte says you should come to the next Reanimator night too as we have some killer goregrind / grind bands on there, ha ha! Even if you can't check out our headliners, Bonesaw... they play old style death / grind in the vein of Abscess or Autopsy, great stuff and top guys to boot.

Picture I took of the band in action at Rock City supporting Brutal Truth.The bassist was a top bloke,we were talking to him before the gig and he said that if it was up to him the band would be playing stuff like Rainbow's "Stargazer" Good lads,all mad as fucking ballons though.

I have to say, I don't like this theme with new grind bands of all looking like shirt-wearing shorthaired dorks! They all have one bloke with a beard, one guy with glasses and one guy with a baseball cap... check out almost any band on Relapse Records for a good example!

The best grind bands are Napalm Death, Rotten Sound, Nasum, Regurgitate and Squash Bowels.

Narcosis have dressed like this for ages :lol:

another band to check out in this field are the army of flying robots (from notts). They have a guitarist who looks like buddy holly (before he died i might add!!) :lol:

saw them supporting narcosis about 3 years ago at one of their first gigs and they were pretty intense then.
