Billy's comments pretty much say it all on this - the Bristol Pear is our 'home' but would have been far too small, we tried something different with the Irish Club and it didn't work out.
The venue has a history of being used for a lot of punk gigs in Birmingham in the past but I don't think they were prepared for a full on thrash metal assault in a lot of ways.

oh god you should of saw them on the train, everyone was in stitches, but a lot of people moved out the carrage, as sam declared his love for kate mcann and plodman declared his love for the dismembered corpse of maddy he claims to keep in his cellar haha, after they finished with the maddy jokes, they continued to shout, sing and mock....all of which was at the top of their lungs, it was one chaotic train journey lol.

The venue would've been fine for a lovely ballroom dance, but I don't think it was quite suitable for a day of thrashing fun. However, much thanks and appreciation to the organisers for putting in a tremendous amount of effort because it was still a brilliant day. There were many problems with the venue that people have already talked about, and I haven't really got anything else to add so I won't repeat what's already been said. But at least you guys managed to get somewhere, it sounds like it was a real pain in the arse trying to find just any venue at all. I just wouldn't be so enthusiastic about going there again, although I still definitely would anyway if it was another amazing day like yesterday was.
