The only game I play at the moment is Fight Night Round 4. It's the best thing ever, I just imagine I'm punching real life people.

Apart from Lightning being boring (Vaan was also boring in FF12 and I really loved that game a lot), those other two are a big plus for me. The HP thing is good because now it's game over if just the party leader is killed, and also because the battles actually seem to be pretty hard too. And the levelling up stuff doesn't actually happen until a few hours into the game (you can't really judge anything from just playing the first half hour of a Final Fantasy game, FFX wasn't even good til about 7 hours in, then it suddenly became completely amazing!), but I love it, there's nothing more bloody frustrating then using three good characters for most of the game, and then finding yourself forced through the storyline to use another character who's 20 levels lower than you because you didn't use them. I actually remember FF7 levelling up the characters you didn't use automatically too, though not as much as your main characters, which was probably a better way to do it.

But anyway, the main thing for me is the storyline, hopefully it'll be wonderful and that'll be nice. So far I like it quite a lot. As far as I can see there isn't much to complain about at all so far. It's a very well made game, it's quite different to the other FF games (which is a good thing I think, I loved FF12 for the same reason), and the fact is nothing will be as good as FF7 ever anyway, so as long as it's still very good, that's fine. And so far it is!

The PC is the best console.

Assassins Creed 2 is definitely the most ridiculous (good) game I've played in absolutely ages.

Just thought I'd re-remind everyone that the first Devil May Cry is still fucking incredible. The Undrworld missons make me happy in the pants.

Yeah, it definitely is. Devil May Cry 4 was almost amazing too, but the unbelievable cop-out of the second half of the game just being a whole bloody back-track really pissed me off, even though playing as Dante was amazing (although Nero was actually more fun because of his super blue hand thing). But nothing really beats the first Devil May Cry. That game was so amazing.

Meanwhile, the 'screen tearing' issue with FF13 is really bloody annoying me now. I can't enjoy the amazing cut scenes because of bloody stupid lines everywhere! Do I really have to buy a whole new TV for my tiny little room to enjoy playing this game properly?

Devil May Cry 3 is ALMOST as good, it's marred by ridiculous difficulty in some sections and a few really tedious sections. Also, Dante's outfit in that game is completely gay. I agree with you on DMC2 though - slow-as-fuck action, stupid amounts of backtracking, ridiculously easy bosses, turning Dante into a completely unfunny dickhead and a shit secondary character. They should've got the guys who did the first game in, or at least have made the second disc about Trish as opposed to that dumb bitch Lucia.

Yeah I remember reading about DMC3 being ridiculously difficult, that's why I didn't get it, haha! Although didn't they release a special easy edition? Which is quite hilarious.
