Anyone else into this ? I started watching it a few months ago and now I'm hooked. It's brutal. Makes boxing look gay !
On a connected note, my sister told me her and her husband know Michael Bisping (the UFC fighter). They live in the same town (Clitheroe). She said he's a nice bloke but crazy.

A couple of my mates watch it, so I've seen a few DVDs and what not. Brutal is the world. It's great fun to watch with a few beers and bet on who's gonna win (although this doesn't work if people have seen the fight before...)
What's that huge fat one called? The one that looks like a sumo. I thought he'd be able to smash anyone, but when he goes down, he can't get up so people just pound his face until he gives up!

I was really, really let down when I first saw UFC. I was expecting something really brutal, but the majority of it is just two guys spooning. Gay.

I like UFC, but Pride Fighting was better. I'm glad Crocop has gone to UFC though, his left roundhouse kick is the most devestating attack ever!
My favourites of all time are Tank Abbot because he's a big fat drunken bastard who punches people to death, and Crocop because he's got the best knock out highlight reels ever!

I have been watching quite a bit of UFC recently, it can be really entertaining to watch sometimes, but as Sam said, it usually ends up with two sweaty beefcakes squirming on the floor. The last two fights I watched were amazing though.

Why didn't I just say a friend of mine. Or simply 'a mate'. I'm so gay.

Lol. You also could've said 'the bassist of STD'. So many possibilities, it's understanding how you can get confused.
UFC can be quite hilarious, but I agree with what people have said about how it just ends up with two guys rolling around, and I get bored after a few minutes. I prefer fighting that isn't real and where people fly, like in Hero. Well, they don't have to fly, Ong Bak was amazing too. But real fighting's rubbish, it's too realistic and boring.
Talking of fighting, a Van Damme film called Sudden Death was on E4 tonight. I saw that film years ago. The film's shit, and so is Van Damme, but he is hilarious. Bloodsport is a classic.

I don't like fighting full stop! I dont watch boxing, wrestling, wwf poncing about or anything like that. I don't even like action films to be honest. You may think that is gay, but i don't care really. People hitting each other just isn't really my idea of entertainment

The problem with mixed martial arts is that if you get two guys whose fighting styles are really similar ie wrestlers with some kick boxing experience, the best way for them to take the other guy out is to get them on the floor and choke them out. It can lead to some boring matches. When UFC first started there was a lot more variation within the fights - you'd get a wrestler against a kick boxer, the kick boxer would whallop the wrestler round the head and that would be game over for the wrestler. The fights were a lot quicker!
I could really use a drink when I'm through

Warrior King is all right, Ong Bak is much better though. Still doesn't compare to Jackie's Hong Kong cinema stuff imo. Project A, Police Story, Dragons Forever. All classics.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

That is a problem. A wrestler against a ju jitsu guy ends up on the floor a lot. but if you have a striker in there it's good stuff.
Cro Cop got his arse handed to him the other week - knocked the fuck out with a huge kick. I thought he was dead.
