Letter bombs....

Postby sekhmet on Wed Feb 07, 2007 1:08 pm

So I dunno how many of you have been following this "lette bombings" on the news, but it seems all targets are linked with motering. First Capita who deal with congestion charging, second a place that deals with speed cameras and now the DVLA.... what you guys think its all about?

apparently it's a protest against "victimisation" of drivers. (This is according to the leader of the British drivers association (or whatever theyre called))

Seems a bit extreme though :? but there are all sorts of headcases around so..

yeah seems all a bit extreme for that but its definately just scare tactics for something. Just shows the state of the world today, theres no such thing as non confrontational protest anymore, it just doesnt get noticed and that pushes people to do stuff like this!

Ha ha, extreme is a word..

But it is getting ridiculous tho! Petrol, Motoring Tax, Congestion charge, speed cameras, ludicrous parking fines, etc etc (well, thats it actually  )

it's what drove me to get a motorbike (well, not yet, but..), but even now! Bikes will have to pay for parking!

Will they ever stop!

i sympathise with most drivers, especially as public transport is still pretty shit (and fucking expensive) but what really gets on my tits are those huge posh 4x4 cars. Why do you need a 4x4 in the suburbs?? :wall:

Those things should be taxed to shit
