Bob Marley question

Postby jonny_boy34 on Fri Jun 29, 2007 4:27 pm

Here's a question for you about Mr Bob. Does anyone know what album Iron Lion Zion was originally on? Was it even a song by Bobby & The Wailers, or was it just Robert on his own? It's basically the best song in the world and I'd like to know.

I dont know when it was written, but it wasn't actually released till after his death. It appears on the album NATURAL MYSTIC : THE LEGEND LIVES ON, which was released in 1995.

Some reggae is cool but other styles like Death Reggae or Black Reggae or even some Grind Reggae is too much for me.

Second that.

Reggae is amazing, for many reasons. Not just because the music is great when done well, but because it is a very uniting genre of music. It brings people together. There is nothing aggressive about it at all, it's just absolutely great loveliness, there's nothing not to like about it and everyone can love it!

For example, I was at a mates birthday party a couple of weeks ago (this mate is actually the drummer in my band), and he is a fan of the metal. He had a covers band playing mostly rock stuff. He has a group of friends who some would call Chavs, and they obviously sat in the corner for most of the evening because they could not handle the rock. Anyway, when the band stopped playing for a bit, and the music came on the speakers, a lovely bit of Bobby Marley came on, and all the chavs became happy and started dancing along to it, and so did we, and it was great. Okay, it didn't quite 'bring us together', but it could've done if we were more sociable. It's just one example of how great it is that it's a genre of music that has a great message that every single human being can relate to. And that is a mightily brilliant thing and should not be taken for granted.

I think it was found at the end of a master tape long after he died.

Reggae is the most degenerate form of music, liked only by tossers.

It is fucking gash to be honest.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...
