Helloween

Postby jonny_boy34 on Fri Jun 13, 2008 8:36 pm

It's been long enough, it's time for me to listen to some Helloween, I feel it's something I've been missing out on for a long time. How amazing are they, and where shall I start in my adventure to enjoy this band who I'll hopefully see at Bloodstock this year?

Helloween are the reason I'm going to Bloodstock.

Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1 and 2 are the standard starting points. March of Time is so fucking mint.

Depends really. I much prefer the debut mini-lp and walls of jericho. When Kai sang they had more of a thrashy edge, and they played songs like ride the sky and judas, which had plenty of speed to them. The seven keys albums were good, but they had already started to take a far more melodic and "non-thrash" approach to their sound. i heard a few post-7 keys songs and they were really poor comarativley to the previous material. So it really depends on what you are looking for from them.
i really dont know what to expect from them at bloodstock now.

I only have Walls of Jericho and Master of the Rings,
what I heard from Walls are Great!
but no plan to getting more helloween

cos' I think I should invest my money to Running Wild early album
or early blind gurdian if I want more speed/power stuff

Downloaded the Keeper of the Keys Of Nice, both parts, this morning. Almost done with the first one, and it's pretty splendid. Future World is amazing, I think I've heard that one before. I love it.

I've only started listening to Helloween recently, downloaded Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II and love it. March of Time and I Want Out - two awesome tracks. Will probably get around to getting Part I soon enough :D
