Iron Maiden - THE FINAL FRONTIER
Moderators: James, Craig, Resilience Records
Re: Iron Maiden - THE FINAL FRONTIER
I ordered this on Saturday along with Jeff Wayne's The War of The Worlds. I'm so excited, I just can't hide it, I'm about to lose control and I think I like it.

My CD didn't arrive today, fuck you amazon. It best be here tomorrow. I was almost tempted to buy a copy in Asda but that's would've been turbo hyper ultra mega silly.

Are we all in agreement that this album is generally RUBBISH.

Only you, Tom, James and Craig. You miserable bastards. The rest of us think it's amazing I think.
Even Cheesy Dave sent me a text last night saying he heard Isle of Avalon and Starblind and thought it was brilliant.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Re: Iron Maiden - THE FINAL FRONTIER
Mediocre album. And that bloody intro on the first track is absolute shite. It's pointless. I really wanted to like this album, having been a fan for nearly 30 years. But it's yet another album that I'll listen to a couple of tracks off now and again.
And as for the picture above - I'm going to the Raiders home opener on September 19th (I'm in SF for work). Hopefully I'll spot some wacky Raiders fans.

Re: Iron Maiden - THE FINAL FRONTIER
It has not yet arrived. I have only heard two songs...I wanted to go into the purchase cold. I iwll let you know how bad/good it is when I have chowed down on it's meat.
Anyone seen the really funny Picture of Bruce Bruce in Classic Rock. He's wearing a ripped T-shirt that says PYSCH WARD on the front. It looks like the photographer just said "Put this on..it looks heavy metal".

Even better is the T-shirt Steve Harris is wearing on the current tour, which says WHALE OIL BEEF HOOKED on the front. Meaning, 'Well I'll Be Fucked.'
If only he could apply that sort of genius to his song writing (even though I still love this new album).
No matter what you think of the new album, the fact it has sold more than three times as much as Eminem's new album already and is headed for the No.1 spot in the UK album chart next week is pretty bloody amazing!

Steve is wearing that t-shirt in the photo.
I'm still waiting for the album..I feel my balls begin to ache.

The post office could not squeeze the cd through our letter box. I will collect tomorrow morn and listen to it at work. I hope I don't shit my pants at work.

You'll probably be laughing lots. Some of the lyrics are amazing. I think you're going to absolutely love the intro to The Talisman, it's one of the most hilariously 'theatrical' Bruce performances ever.

Three tracks in…
I like the way he says "DEVIL" on Mother Mercy.

Ok..When the Wild Wind Blows is great..the rest of the album is pretty aimless and poor.
