I wish everyone would stop going on about the 'scene'... c'mon, the fact the bands are spread all over the country is hardly fitting of being a scene. and also the word 'scene' is gay and makes everyone on here sound gay
I wouldn't say Headless Cross are (or were) particularly amazing, sure they have good production, but didn't every song sound the same? and they all had '...of Death' or something in the titles. not that I didn't like it, just sounds too, well, typical I find!

Fine, your not invited to my birthday.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

They didn't sound like Gama Bomb though, is what i'm saying. It was boring but at least it was fresh, wheras Gama Bomb are a massive throwback but not that boring.

What the fuck are you on about?? course its a scene!! You crying about it being called a scene makes you gay. Not anyone else.
Any collective of bands that promote themselves together, have fans of them as a whole and gigs, tours, records, has compilations under one genre/ label/ or whatever IS A SCENE. THE UK THRASH SCENE - like the EMO scene or Hardcore scene.
Wether you like it being called that or not, it is. So go poo ur pantys....
....toilet trousers.

..
How can you say there is'nt a "scene" in the UK?
In germany all the thrash bands were 100's of miles apart and it was one of the biggest scenes for thrash worldwide.
I think having old school sounding bands (ie mutant,us ect) and more progressive sounding bands is very important at the moment. It gives fans of all the different forms of thrash something to cling on to, be it bay area ,black thrash, speed, crossover ect.
What I don't get is people claiming that this band aren't as good that one because they aren't as original.Name any band it the UK scene and you can tell there infulances a mile off, and personally, i would way rather hear a really good band playing testament style thrash to a lame band playing progressive machine head drivel. Originality it all about writing good songs.

From New Street Station to the Irish Centre about 15-20 mins if your a slow walker and know were you are going.
Basically Digbeth is the arsehole of the Bullring, so as long as you go throught there and keep walking down Digbeth High Street you cant miss it.
the red bit is the Bullring

From memories of 68 when the wizard shook the world
Metal came from foundries where the midlands sound unfurled
The bullring was a lonely place of concrete towers and steel
The coal mines and the industries were all I had to feel
