Bewitched were awesome black thrash band, check out their debut and the "encyclopaedia of evil" mini lp. I also have to say here that one of the best albums which people seem to dismiss mainly due to the fact that he is an arse, is the first 3 Burzum releases. I know they aren't thrash, but they certainly are not the typical Black metal sound of the time either ( u know all speed and ultra raw production). I think if you can get on with the vocals, then they should appeal to thrashers. The arrangements are simple and very effective and the riffs are just genius. Early burzum is definately the bastard son of under the sign of the black mark era bathory, morbid tales era celtic frost and hellhammer, yet with its own unique and eerie atmosphere. Tis true that many of the worlds geniuses have very strange and disturbed minds!!!!

The only burzum song worth listening to is War, because the riff in it reminds me of curse the gods.

Never liked Burzum on the S/T or Aske even when I was into black metal. The vocals nnoyed me and the music sounded to primitive and simplisitic for me.

For a good modern black/thrash band that I don't think has been mentioned is Witchmaster. It features Inferno from Behemoth on drums. Masochistic Devil Worship is my favourite album. Imagine a thrashy version of 1349 that can maintain quality riffs and has amazing drumming.

I'd like to know people's opinions on Legion of the Damned. They used to be Occult until the female singer left and now play very modern heavy black/thrash with tons of double bass. I really like some of their songs but find many of the songs to be rather dull. Demonfist for example is one of the thrashier songs and my favourite right now. Werewolf Corpse and Sons of the Jackal are also great songs.
