They're quite amusing live also in their white doctor's coats.

Krisiun are a great Brazilian death metal band, their new album AssassiNation is brilliant!

I don't think Behemoth have been mentioned yet, they're also pretty good. Check out Demigod

Zyklon are one of my fave death metal bands at the mo, which features Samoth and Trym from Emperor. I saw them last September and they're a really good live band as well

If you want old-school DM, check out Darkthrone's debut Soulside Journey. Yes they did only one death metal album before moving onto kvlt black metal, it sounds a bit like Obituary

Try Napalm Death as well, the new album kills!

Carcass aren't death metal, or at least they weren't intended to be.

first 2 albums aint but they kinda mutated into a DM band over the last few albums. Heartwork is totally DM, heavy as shit. :rockdevil:

It is, but they hate/hated being labelled "death metal", if you read interviews with them they see themselves as more of a de-tuned sloppy rock band. I'd search for quotes but I cabby arsed.

Depends if you know their songs or not. If you don't know them then I can imagine them being dull.
