A VICTORY FOR METAL, NO, MUSIC!

Yeh, this is being discussed in the Wacken thread but this is surely quite significant - Bullet for my Valentine, and fellow corers As I Lay Dying, off the Wacken bill.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will cancel all shows in July and August, because of an operation.
Also AS I LAY DYING are not able to perform at W:O:A, because of their Vans Warped Tour in US !!!

As follows the statement from BFMV:

"It is with huge regret that BFMV announce that they will not be able to make Wacken 2007.

Matt Tuck has been told by his Doctor that he has to have his tonsils out on July 10th. Recovery time is one month so unfortunately he won't have recovered in time.
We wish him all the best.

The word from BFMV is that they'll be back in Germany, as soon as possible, to make up for their absence.

Anyone smell a really nice fish?! Hands up who thinks Bullet have been shafted due to the reaction?

More than likely....they must of had a massive reality shock at what sort of bands are also playing and people they would be playing for i.e not the just the "metal" kids they are used to

Oh well. Hopefully it will teach any emo core bands a lesson in the future. I just hope that a rumour flying around that trivium could be playing next year isn't true... :cry:

Having seen the timetable, I've got no clashes. Saturday is Blind Guardian, Dimmu Borgir and Iced Earth all in a row (epic!), and sunday's got Vader, Destruction, a pause for beer o'clock, then Immortal, Municipal Waste and Cannibal Corpse! FFFFFUCK YEAAAAAHHHH!
