What an idiot! I wouldn't want my liver wasted on someone who had willingly lived like that.

My best mate who I've known for over 20 years has recently been told never to drink again because he's fucked his pancreas up. It sucks, he's lost shitloads of weight and he can't eat any kind of shit food anymore. He used to be 20 stone, now he's around the same weight as me. I've lost my drinking buddy! Poor bastard.
Does anyone know about pancreas stuff? If he looks after it properly, will it get better over time, or is it going to be fucked forever?

The liver will regenerate itself given the chance, I don't think it's the same with the pancreas. Has he become diabetic because of his drinking? If so he will have damaged an area called the Islets of Langerhans which allow the body to regulate sugar levels. If this is the case I doubt he will get any better.

Nahh he aint diabetic, he just can't eat red meat, spicy stuff or things with too much fat. I'll ask him more about it when I see him.
Cheers for that, how the hell do you know that kind of stuff!!!!?
