Blatter opposes Old Firm switch

What do people think? Personally i wouldnt mind say having three or four British leagues (England, Wales, Scotland) comprised of the best teams on the island. Teams who were relegated would go down to the English/Scottish/Welsh leagues.
Obviously this has a massive organisation problem as there are more clubs in England of a higher standard (due to its size). The decision on which teams would be elected to which league would be a massive undertaking.
Another option is to have a British club tournamant which i suppose would be easier to manage.
Fifa president Sepp Blatter has spoken out against the possibility of the Old Firm moving to England's top flight.

I don't like the idea of Celtic or Rangers going into English football... just seems a bit... wrong. A British tournament would be wicked though. Good call on the thread, by the way.

Don't Welsh clubs play in English Leagues?
I think the idea of Celtic and Rangers going into the Premiership has been overtaken by the idea of a 'Euroleague', which also seems like a completely unrealistic prospect to me. If the money were there, which I'm sure it will be, it could be done. I just don't see it happening any time soon.

I think Man City will get 2. Other than that, I agree with it. Nice predictions.

Re: The Official Football Thread
That was the most unbelievable match ever. The Sky commentators were saying how lucky Pompey had been to get this far and then a match like this happens. UTD denied a clear penalty, hit the post and cleared off the line! Then Portsmouth just boot it up the pitch and get a penalty! Still, fair play to them though. Hope they win it !
