I have a phone that gets text messages a day late, half the calls don't get to my phone and the rest im oblivious to. Phones to me are a lot like swiss army knives now, i'd much rather have a good knife then a tiny shit one with loads of crap add ons.
Computer wise i mainly use my laptop i got free when my dad's work had a refit, im a Linux man mainly (Ubuntu) as i can use it properly, it has only ever crashed twice and the synaptic package manager is one of the best things EVER.
I have an Sony NWZA828K mp3 player which doesn't have a massive storage size but it works rather well. But as i lost the cable i still walk around with a CD player.
I can never remeber the model name for my camera but its a few years old, takes good video with good quailty audio (most of the podcast interviews have been done with it) and it has taken a good beating but still carries on working.

Re: Technologies!
I'm really bad at replacing technology, I wait until I can't possibly get any life out of my current equipment before spending money on new stuff.
Actually, I've just realised I'm like that with most functional objects - what a cheapskate! E.g. rucksacks, I buy crap ones for under a tenner, then insist that they last me a whole year at uni even though they always fall apart. Another example is my current MP3 headphones, which I didn't even buy in the first place, I just found them around the house, and now I have to hold the plug at a certain angle to get a proper sound, but still haven't bought a new set. Same with my phone, the buttons are irresponsive and nearly all the numbers have faded off. I just don't like spending money on things that I need but don't interest me at all.

I have a HP laptop that has broken twice and I've had to shove new bits in twice, my phone is stolen off my sister, as is my iPod and someone threw my 10MP camera out by accident when it fell into an empty box of beers. Technology can fuck off.
I love my Xbox though, and I have a half decent TV, but yeah..

I use the MacBook pretty much every day, I've been using it as my main machine for about a month because the main PC's been out of action. Much like the Zen - have it on every day when going to and from work so it's used all the time.
The desktop rig is a bit overkill, mainly in the graphics department as I don't play many 3D-intensive games (pretty much the only one is Flight Sim X) but I like playing them at high settings (screenshot from FSX) and with a 22" screen it does need a beefy graphics card. I could really do with doubling the RAM to 8GB as I run a few virtual machines in VirtualBox from time to time, but hopefully I'll be building myself a VMware ESX server in the next few months so I'll be offloading all of my virtual machines to that instead.
I do have a habit of destroying technology (my first ever laptop ended up being a Frankenstein because of the amount of times I screwed with it) so I tend to try and buy myself expensive things to try and make myself think before doing anything stupid. Didn't help me with the aforementioned Coke/Guinness incidents but I've learned my lesson now
In the same kind of way, I managed to fry about four pairs of cheap JVC Gumy headphones, but since I've switched to the CX-300s at £20 a go, they're pretty much rock solid for reliability.

I have a Snes, N64, Wii and PS3. Creative Zen MP3 Player that I bought from Craig. A really shit PC that I've made look good by giving it a 26" HD Screen, and a Sony Ericson phone. Nothing special from me.

Re: Technologies!
Speaking of Frankenstien PC's, my mum used to have a computer which we had for about 10 years. However it got constant upgrades both internally and externally. It went from horizontal case to a tower, probably went through a couple of motherboards, 4 versions of Windows (95, 98, ME, XP) and new HDD's and such. By the time we threw it out to be replaced with a laptop, the only original component from when we bought it was a 4GB hard drive, which was originally the primary, but after XP was installed it was made into a secondary as XP was installed on a 20GB hard drive

I'm sure Craig will post up pictures of The Beast again soon - he has had the inside sprayed black, with green water tubes in that will be lit by UV strips! Looks pretty wowzer.

Re: Technologies!
Funny you should mention pics ...
Lighting looks pretty naff but it should look a lot better under UV light. The massive gap is because I've had to send the graphics card back to be replaced, should be with me later this week.

More pics - this time with the UV lamps installed and taken with my proper camera rather than my crappy old one
