There was some prick over on Thrash Unlimited having the same discussion. His point of view was that he hates what Exodus is now and doesn't buy their current stuff... YET he violently opposed the idea of LTBB on some kind of bullshit principle. Like they're ruining the legacy of BBB. My point to this dolt was that if you weren't buying their albums anyway, why do you give a shit what they do? Your copy of BBB remains as you like it, no one's trying to take it away.

The only way I could see getting even mildly upset about LTBB is if you're loving current Exodus and want to hear new shit, not rehashed shit. I'm sick to death of all this whinging about how THEY'RE DEFILING A CLASSIC, PAUL BALOFF IS TURNING IN HIS GRAVE, MAAAAAN.

Who's to say if they did a brilliant job of it, it wouldn't reverse a current Exodus cynic's view of the band now? I imagine that's the only reason a cynic would listen to it, unless they waded in with extreme bias, which maybe he did.. but yeah, I guess it's never going to change what was once done.. but I can see the point of being annoyed over a fallen giant...

I just don't get why it needed to be done. It's not going to make money and it's not really much of a departure from the way Exodus fans have been hearing the band play Bonded By Blood songs for the past 10-15 years. You could say they've never released any of those songs recorded by this line up, but they didn't do that with the Zetro line up either.

It's fucking shit really. Just seems like Gary Holt and co. can't write anymore of the toss they have done on the last two albums so they resorted to doing this.

I like new Exodus.... Ahh well.

I quite like the new exodus stuff to be honest, i downloaded the album and liked it, have to agree with Lich King to a degree, to get so carried away over an album just because its a re-hash of a previous great is unnecessary!
If you dont like it, just dont buy it, and dont listen to it!

Well seeing as forums are set up so us 'internet twats' can discuss what they want, discussion is inevitably going to lead to debate, often does if you communicate with people. Yeah we have the original but to me its not that we have the original being taken away from us, the problem for me is it feels like the album is being watered down, adding more groove or some shit like that, I hate to sound elitist but honestly, 'the kids', as I said, if they can't take the original, just like if they can't take the original versions of Sodom, Destruction etc then maybe they're listening to the wrong genre.
