So, DA aren't playing last?? I was wondering cos there are about 4 or 5 bands listed for the Glasgow show and the doors aren't til 8pm. Going by this I was reckoning DA might not finish their set til about 12.30am which would be a complete shitbag cos the last train back to Edinburgh is 11.30pm. Hopefully they will come on early tomorrow too.

They came on early because there were problems with (or a lack of) the sound check for the main support band.

well last night in notts, they did play last (why wouldnt they???), but as they never came onstage till half 11, and then had various problems, we never even got an hour, which was shit. They played evil preist and mistress of pain though, so i was well happy, which was more than could be said for dennis when he threw a total wobbly. He had been having a few problems with his bass, and then after about 35-40 mins, it packed up towards the end of a song, so he threw it in temper at his amp, completely snapping off the headstock in the process, then stormed off stage and never came back out for 10 mins. When he did, they played mistress and kill as one, then fucked off, with no encore!!!!!! I had to wait 19 years and endure 3 quite wank bands (well demolition were ok) for this too  Bet he feels a cunt today, now his nice expensive bass is fucked

The camden gig was awesome, my neck still hurts so that's definitely a sign I was enjoying myself... Mistress of Pain was a nice surprise :D I love it when bands seem truly happy to be there, makes the atmosphere a lot better... I mean this gig was so much better than Exodus for that reason, their singer came across as a bit of a dick to be honest... may have just been a bad day though. The only downside of Death Angel was the bint next to me who kept insulting me and my mate to her friend for 'sounding like cheerleaders' Probably just upset because she looked like a hemorrhoid. I windmilled her face off so it was all ok in the end though, schwing!

Aye,we buggered off during that interval,as both me and my mate had to be up stupidly early this morning for work, pleased we didn't miss too much then.Quite a few folks left before we did as well.Do we really need four band bills like this? Especially when the majority of the bands aren't much cop anyway.
That said,Death Angel were cracking when they did play, and it was good to put faces to a couple of this forums legends as well!

I dont think that the number of bands was the issue, but in reality onl about 20% of the multitude of gigs ive been to over the years have ever run on time, so that puts pressure on headliners. I mean, extrema got almost as much time as death angel last night and they were wank. I do believe that if people have paid a tenner to see death angel, then at least one of the 3 supports should have been thrash too. Extrema were metalcore, demolition were nu-death metal (in flames style) and mercenary were just a plain boring fusion of power / metalcore / nu-death. Id sooner have seen 2 hours of death angel and no-one else.

Death Angel were magic last night in Glasgow. Again, they came on about 11.15 so the gig didn't finish until 1am. Got home to Edinburgh for about 2.30 and in work this morning with mild concussion, whiplash and a hangover after about 2 hours sleep :D

Dennis' bass rig fucked up again last night for a whole song but he didn't throw a hissy fit. Must have learnt his expensive lesson from the previous night.

Cheers to Neil (mysilentgrave) for popping up to the show. Good to see you again buddy

Aye, the Glasgow show was mint. I really wanted to hear "Thicker Than Blood", the song that got me into them in the first place, but no matter, everything sounded way better live than recorded. It more than made up for the poo support bands (not including Circle Of Tyrants, they were fun). Good to meet Death Angel too, sound guys. Latest gig ever, though. wtf? I'm glad my days of having to leave gigs at 10.30 or 11 are over.
