Is there a better free virus checker than AVG?

Spybot is always a lovely bit of backup.

Spybot is just a spyware removal tool i think, not anti virus. I used Panda Security's on-line virus checker a couple of times. It was ok:

As James said, I would go with Avast, it's installed on every Windows PC I have and I've never had any problems with it :)

Avast and Lavasoft worked wonders for me before and they were a recommendation of UK Thrash.

I use AVG and Lavasoft AdAware, never have any problems with either, also my comp never gets viruses other than the occasional tracking cookie (thanks, MSN..)!!!
