Anyone know where I can get hold of this album (Blaze of Obscurity) by Pariah. I don't want a download or copy, I want the real thing but I can't seem to find it anywhere online. The only stuff I've found is a casette of the album, and an expensive as fuck LP thingy, but I want it on CD!!
A couple of their tracks:

I've been listening to them loads on YouTube lately and I really want this album!!!
If it's too hard to get hold of, I'll just have to settle for a download site, if anyone has any links.

I'd also like a copy of this, but it's not easy to find.

Re: Pariah - Blaze of Obscurity
Pariah was a great band,I thought. They changed the name from Satan in 1988 - releasing "The Kindred" that year and "Blaze Of Obscurity" the year afterwards. The music was no change from the two 1987 releases of Satan - "Into The Future" E.P. & "Suspended Sentence". So, if you like "Blaze Of Obscurity", you'll like those Satan releases also. "Into The Future", in particular, is killer.
Why did the band change their name from the more established Satan name? Apparently, they thought the name gave people the wrong impression of the band, making them think they were in Satanic Black Metal territory.
There was one more reformation album in 1997 - "Unity", which was an independent release and really excellent too. I distributed copies, at the time. Alan Hunter took over for Michael Jackson on that one.
Steve Ramsey & Graeme English, of course, went on to form Skyclad with Martin Walkyier.
I saw the band twice, once as Satan and once as Pariah. They supported Angel Witch at the Walthamstow Royal Standard in '87 (great show!) and they played as Pariah at a secret Venom gig at the Marquee in early '89. Venom played as "Sons Of Satan" and hardly anybody sussed and about 10 people turned up. For Pariah it was just me at the front, but they were damn excellent.
As to finding the albums - "The Kindred" is on Hellion Records's website as available for sale as a 10 EUR special offer - get it! www.hellionrecords.de
I am not sure if "Blaze Of Obscurity" ever saw a reissue on CD.

"Pariah are one of the side ways of Satan (UK) who changed their name into Blind Fury and later Pariah in 1987 "
This comment on the You Tube link is not strictly correct. Blind Fury released an album in 1985 - "Out Of Reach". That was instigated by the joining of Lou Taylor (ex-Persian Risk) who replaced Brian Ross on vocals. Kevin Heyborne was a member of Blind Fury at one stage too.
The band changed their name back to Satan again, and then changed to Pariah after two more releases.

Re: Pariah - Blaze of Obscurity
I really want some Pariah material. I think the Steve Ramsay/Russ Tippins writing team was one of the best in the NWOBHM.
Court in the Act is easily one of my favourite heavy metal albums, despite the indistinct production. When Lou Taylor replaced Brian Ross, he seems to have convinced them to change their name to Blind Fury, which I think was the name of Taylor's previous defunct band. Then they released Out Of Reach, which I got recently and it's pretty damn good - not quite such brilliant riffs, but there are some crackers on there (e.g. Contact Rock and Roll, Do It Now...), which continue to show the band's nack for catchy melodies and a speed metal edge. Also, Lou Taylor sounds almost exactly like Russ North, which is no bad thing. (however, beware of buying the "Special Card Sleeve Edition" of this album - it just comes in a card wallet like a promo, with no booklet or anything - I found out the hard way!)
Then of course the Into the Future EP followed by Suspended Sentence - these are back with the name Satan, but with Michael Jackson on vocals ( ). Both of them are totally brilliant, like blacktears said Into The Future is especially awesome, superb riffs, speed, vocal melodies... imagine if Court in the Act had the production job of those two releases! It would be a much more hailed classic I think (not that it isn't already).
So yeah I really want to get some Pariah next, to see where their songwriting went after Suspended Sentence - I'm sure it's brilliant.

Satan are one of the few NWOBHM outfits who I think could have put out an absolutely stellar catalogue if they had the same exposure/backing/production as Iron Maiden. I'd say that them, Cloven Hoof and Angel Witch could definitely have produced some goliath albums like mid-80s Maiden. That's not to say they haven't put out great recordings, but it makes it even more commendable as they all did it as a passionate hobby, not a career.
I've waffled far too much... I just love talking about heavy metal
EDIT: I listened to Into the Future and Suspended Sentence on my lunch break - seriously killer releases. I think Ice Man is one of my favourite heavy metal songs ever, puts a smile on my face every time! By the way you can buy Into The Future/Suspended Sentence on a 2-in-1 re-release CD for a decent price (probably on Play.com etc). Only thing that annoys me about it is they've put the EP tracks at the end, when actually they are chronologically earlier.
And as if the music wasn't enough, Satan's symmetrical logo is SO cool! I might paint it on my jacket when I get round to it.
Sorry to ramble about Satan, but it's kind of on topic

Someone should release all those early pre-"Court in the Act" demos - love 'em. It would make a nice little release!

I'd love to hear them, bet they're excellent. Another cool bit of Court in the Act trivia: the thanks list includes "a special hello to our 'workmates', MERCYFUL FATE (the crazy b******* from Copenhagen)."
