I can't really be bothered to debate this - it's not a regime change, it's not a sign of pathetic moderator strictness, it's not a demand that all topics never drift from their original theme - like boovidge said, it's simply a request for the toning down of the constant "you're a twat" posts in threads where something is clearly trying to be achieved.

If people can't seem to get over this simple request, it's not really my problem.

The scene at the moment is really, really boring. Most forums would have died by now, the only thing keeping UK Thrash going is the stupid banter.

Personified brilliantly by the msn convos. That is UK Thrash now, for better or for worse.

The idea isn't necessarily to stop people being immature idiots, just as James said, giving the infantile banter its own area (that area being General Chat).

The only "objections" seem to be from those who are actually contributing towards that banter and are generally being arrogant pricks and chucking their toys out of the pram.

Iain. Shut the fuck up. According to you, I'm only ruining two of the many forums here. You're only unhappy coz it restricts your ability to spew shit and you're spitting your dummy out like a stupid fucking 5-year-old.

Grow up.

You are kidding? You should have been a thrash fan between 1993 and 2005, now that was BORING!

You're just making things incredibly dull with your fascist bully-boy tactics. I've already had posts deleted that were well within the new guidelines which are themselves extremely fucking ambiguous. I can't believe that, because of you and James, there can literally be no joking outside of General Chat.

What a thoroughly shit thing to do.

I sometimes wonder just how far someone can push it before they get banned...

Wrong, both me and James have already explained the reasons, and again it seems the only people who are creating petty little arguments about it are the childish peurile ones who are doing the said banter - which is perfectly fine in all areas but UK Thrash and Gigs.

If you have to spew shit and generally act like a pathetic little toddler then do it in General Chat.

Metal Iain wrote:I can't believe that, because of you and James, there can literally be no joking outside of General Chat.

Wrong again. You're blowing this whole issue completely and utterly out of proportion, and again I draw the comparison to a toddler who can't get an ice cream and so has to scream the shop down to try and get his way. If you actually took the time to read, it has been said that as long as threads stay on-topic and don't descend into childish banter, it doesn't matter. Just fucking grow up, for God's sake.

Wrong yet again. You're banned.
