At least it's a weekend, as if we play this I'm gonna get raped by paying for transport/accomodation. Is any of the bands able to lend us some gear (providing we're officially on this)?

Hey man, be good to see you again! With regard to transport, there are about 4 options:

1.You can get a train from London Marylebone to Birmingham Moor Street (in the centre, and a very short train ride from the venue) for £15 (£10 with young person's railcard) and you can buy it on the day. You can only travel from London between 11.30am and 3.00pm or after 7.00pm though, and the last train back from Birmingham is about 10 or 10.30, so unless you're staying overnight it might not be an option.

2. Trains from Euston (I think) go to Birmingham New Street. They run later, but are a lot more expensive, especially on weekends.

3. Megabus goes from Victoria to the centre of Brum.

4. National Express goes to Digbeth Coach Station in the centre of Brum.

After any of those, you'll need to get a train from Birmingham New Street to Selly Oak (costs about £1 or £1.50).

Anyway, should be a killer night!

Can you pay for the ticket from Birmingham New Street to Selly Oak station while you're on the train? How long does it take?

Or they can get the 61,62,63 from outside New Street Opposite the bullring and debenhams for £1.20

http://www.birminghambackpackers.co.uk - £15 youth hostel in Digbeth. Might be a little bit cheaper cause we have a decent realtionship with the owners.
