Does anyone know about bands from this sort of area in the metal field? I only know of Moss and Powerquest. Anymore that should be mentioned?
I know I don't live down there but I will be going there to uni in just over a year so anyone else who knows the true underground in that area? No poser shit!

I was at Uni in Winchester, there was a bit of a black metal scene there.

Sorry to be Mr. Picky but I was instantly put off by the fact that both bands are influenced by total shit like Lamb of God and Pantera. However the help is much appreciated nevertheless!
Anyway anyone who can mention any REAL metal and thrash from the general area?

Ah yes, I am aware of that lot though I am not a fan of most power metal, save the more 80s style.
The best band from around that area in my personal opinion would be Moss. Other than that...

Hmm, maybe I'll look into them. I'm just surprised there isn't at least a little more than there is considering it is a big city. Maybe the real deal people are a little scattered...

There is another venue worth checking out in Southampton, and that is The Joiners.
