Another Zeppelin Reuion rumour

Postby Metalbrew Stu on Mon Jun 25, 2007 1:58 pm

According to World Entertainment News Network, rock legends LED ZEPPELIN will reportedly reunite for a one-off memorial concert in honor of their late record boss before embarking on a world tour.

ZEPPELIN has only performed a handful of concerts, including Live Aid in 1985, since its split in 1980 following the death of drummer John Bonham.

But, if the reports are tp b believed, singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones will re-group alongside Bonham's son Jason for a special concert in memory of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun in London.

A source says, "Page, Plant and Jones spoke and agreed to do the memorial concert. They are waiting for a definite date.

"And no one can quite believe it, but during discussions about the concert they all gave the green light to a tour if it all does well and they don't all fall out.

"It has been hoped for and denied for years. But this is the closest they have ever come to a reunion tour. The feeling is that this is going to happen next year."

Ertegun died in December 2006 after seven weeks in a coma following a fall at a ROLLING STONES concert.
_____________

I highly doubt there would be a tour, but I'd like to see a one of show to see what the boys have still got!

There was rumours of a Sabbath reunion for years before it happened, so you never know it could happen. It would be the biggest thing in rock if it happened.

I'd cry and piss and shit my pants then have a good bashing of the bishop. And then I'd be really upset that the tickets would sell out and I wouldn't have enough money to get one.

DONT DO IT! LEAVE ZEPPELIN DEAD AND PRESERVE IT'S LEGACY!!

This would be an abortion of a gig if it happened, but i'd still have to go

But seriously, shit idea.

Yes it could possibly go wrong, but for us youngsters who were born in the 80s, seeing Zeppelin is something we never thought would ever happen (and probably still won't anyway). The thought of seeing them now is more exciting than if Dio came to my house for a cup of tea.

Yes, it is. But I'd rather see three quarters of Zeppo than none at all if the opportunity arose.
