I believe it's "crunchy", may be wrong.

I think I prefer Breaking the Silence to Victims of Deception, but this thread has made me decide to check out Victims of Deception again properly.

I think 'melodic thrash' suits them well, without suggesting their music is weak and crappy.

Only have breaking the silence, but it's a super sweet album, the guys got a great voice and everything is just in place for being a classic. They should get their act together and do some shows here, tommorow.

Yeah dudes,

Heathen kicks so much ass, man, their double-guitar harmonies are so precise and great, i'm like melting away when i hear these oriental-like melodies.

Heathen was one of those bands that preplexed me initially. They were both melodic and raw at the same time, both light and crushingly heavy. Absolutely awesome.

Incidentally, I much prefer the version of 'Heathen' from Breaking the Silence than 'Heathen's Song' from Victims of Deception. It sounds rawer and heavier. What do you guys reckon?

Victims of Deception rules.

The first time I ever heared the song "Hypnotise", (after the 87 hour fucking intro!) I was completely blown away. Fucking amazing chorus and even though the riffs are pretty simple in that song, they're so damn awesome!

Then there's "Heathens Song", which they re-recorded and it sounded even better. What a kick arse band. I hope they all get superpowers and live forever...
