This is good news though, Obama seems an intelligent guy and it will be great to have a change from the last 8 years.

The 'Credit Crunch', or whatever you want to call it, isn't going to just go away now that the USA has a Democrat in the White House. The same can be said for the War In Iraq. Most of what Obama has said thus far involves meeting people, e.g. the Iranians, to talk things over. That in itself isn't really a solution for any problem.

I just watched Obama's victory speech, it was pretty damn good. The man definitely knows how to speak, unlike his soon-to-be predecessor (is it right that he doesn't become the real president until January when he moves into the White House? Or is he president right now?). I even allowed myself to feel a bit of hope. Let's see what happens though. I'm definitely happier about this than I would've been had it gone the other way, so 'ere we go for negro fun times.

Haha, yeah it's nice innit. We watched that when I got into uni this morning, sort of emotional. He's clearly a great man.

Great president is another issue... let's hope so.

His official term of office starts in January 20th, inauguration day where he gets sworn in and all that
