tom, if you're a fan of manchego, i would also reccommend havarti and pyreneean (sp?)

also not similar but awesome is halloumi, which you fry in a pan and it doesnt melt, tastes so nice

I've always felt Port Salut is quite underrated. Nice with French bread on a summer afternoon. That said, I've not tried most of these that you're talking about.

That's Saint Agur for me. I find it's a bit too salty for weekly consumption (oo-er). Actually, I'll eat any cheese as long as it's not made of dead squid.
