RAINBOW

Postby jonny_boy34 on Fri Oct 30, 2009 5:44 pm

My good lord in heaven granted me the power to purchase the album 'Rising' by Rainbow the other day. The song Tarot Woman is an overwhelming rocking experience, as is Starstruck (about a lady who is nothing but bad luck apparently). And the last two 8-minute epics, Stargazer and A Light In The Black are just so amazing I can't even remember what life was like before I listened to these songs. And Dio... ah, my friend Dio, you always guide me towards the true path of rock, I am forever in your debt.

So, it's time for other people to tell me what other amazing Rainbow albums I should get. Long Live Rock 'n' Roll is probably next on my list. And how about when Dio left, were they still good? Obviously Since You've Been Gone is amazing, but I don't really know much else about this mighty band and rock, and also of roll.

WAA I LOVE RAINBOW!

Rising is the best. Just the whole intro to the album, that solo is amazing. Everything about the album is amazing. Dio makes me wet. I only have Rising and Long Live Rock 'n' Roll on vinyl. Ive not really listened to any others yet. My dad is a massive Rainbow fan though.

^ Get this record immediately! One of my favourite albums ever, with Sixteenth Century Greensleeves being one of my all time favourite songs. DRAW BRIDGE DOWN! CUT IT TO THE GROUND! WE SHALL DANCE AROUND THE FIRE!

The best stuff is the Dio stuff, as people said.
You'll be buying Deep Purple albums next ! And there's nothing wrong with that.

Haha, no, I started buying Deep Purple albums a while ago so I'm alright on that one! Saying that, I only bought Machine Head a few months ago... but I got Burn and Stormbringer a few years ago, so that's ok.

Yeah I had a listen to Down To Earth on Spotify today, and apart from Since You've Been Gone which is classic rocking fun, I wasn't too keen. Dio is the only man for me! I have ordered Long Live Rock 'n' Roll, and I simply cannot wait.

They are indeed on Spotify, I just don't want to listen all the way through to the Dio ones because I want to buy them in real life, and don't want to spoil some of the glorious rocking surprises!
