Line 6 Fucking Die!!!

Postby GoreBastard on Tue Apr 03, 2007 4:55 am

I just bought my second Line 6 Flextone 3 amp in February. 1 month after having it, it started messing up. The clean channels cut out and any effect I use makes the speakers crackle. My first Line 6 Flex 3 died aswell... Does anyone else own a Line 6 amp, and do they cause this much trouble with anyone else? It cost me £400 and it's fucked already!!! Who am I supposed to fly kick over this mess? Someone, somewhere deserves a fly kick for this atrocity.

Contact them, its still under warranty. Or at least it should be.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

That sucks man, it might just be bad luck though because I own a Line6 Spider amp (ok it is just a practice amp) and it been bloody brilliant. Good tones and sounds. Hope it gets fixed.

Personally, I'd always avoid buying an amp with any digital effects, etc. on. It's just more things that can go wrong.

Agreed.

They're good for practise amps but I would never trust them live.

I also think nothing touches tube amps!

It's in for repair right now, because any time I touch the reverb, or use any effects, the speaker goes mental and sounds like it's gonna blow up. LOUD AS FUCK!!!

I have a Spider II stack, fucking ace I reckon. Modelling amps don't really get the same sound as valve amps, but they have a wider range of sounds, and they're much cheaper. My amp cost £450 for the head and the cab. Gotta love Line 6 man, they're ace!

Yeah, I'm a big fan of em... Maybe I've just been unlucky and bought amps that were banged about on the delivery truck!!!

I've got a Line 6 Guitar port, and I can safely say, it's the best thing I've ever bought. The "Treadplate Scoopy" sound is brutal as fuck!

Haha, yeah man, you can get some killer sounds out of Line 6 shit. If you ever get the chance, play around with the Synth setting on the Low Down bass amp (basically the bass Spider II), there's all kinds of wierd noises that come from that bastard!

Also, if you're looking at PODs, I'd suggest the FloorPOD range, much easier to use out of studio conditions

I use a PodXT Live (the black one) for live, through a JCM2000. It can achieve scaryness.

It's good for recording through as well. Heck we even recorded the vocals for the demo through it hahahah

I play geetar in one of my other bands and go thru a Pod Pro rack mounted into a Mesa Boogie power amp and it rules. Might get shut tho and get a 5150 mk1 instead. EVH is the king. :rockdevil:
